1. Printed yarn
This type of printed yarn is different from segment dyeing. It dyes the twisted yarn into a lighter color as the base color, such as peach red, light blue, light green, goose yellow, etc., and then prints deeper colored knots. Generally, each knot is about 10mm in length and the spacing is also relatively large.
2. Duan dyed yarn
Dyeing multiple colors on the same twisted yarn is called segment dyeing yarn, and generally, one twisted yarn is dyed with 4-6 colors. It is widely used in fancy yarns, such as large-belly yarns, coarse woolen yarns, and fancy yarns composed of coarse knots and wavy yarns. It can also be used to process fancy yarns from dyed yarns for decorative purposes, making them into colorful circular threads. It can also be used as a binding yarn to enrich colors. This type of fancy thread is mostly used in knitwear and has been a rapidly developing category of products in recent years. Duan dyeing also works well on regular flat yarns.
3. Tie dyed yarn
This is a traditional dyeing method for colored yarn in China. It divides a strand of yarn into two to three sections and ties it tightly with a cotton rope (usually 5mm thick). The length of the tie depends on the variety, usually around 30mm. Then, this type of yarn is dyed. Due to the inability of the dye to penetrate the tightly tied area, a white knot is formed. Due to the unequal length of each white knot, the fabric produced has a natural and casual style.
